In 1971 our first big dream came true: to interconnect regional electric systems in Colombia with the commissioning of the transmission Central Network.
The project consisted of connecting Guatapé (Antioquia), Yumbo (Valle del Cauca) and La Mesa (Cundinamarca) substations. This network had 1.095 circuit kilometers and a common point in the La Esmeralda (Caldas) substation, where the first control center of the system was located.
This project was the first step towards the national integration of the electric sector, the foundation of growth for ISA in Colombia and Latin America. And the dream continues.
This is a story told in four voices, a journey through the past, the present and the future that we build from now on.
